Corporate Structuring

Choosing the right structure is the single most important decision in your international operation, and the one that raises the most questions. Free Zone or Mainland? Which activity to license? Where to register? At Global Desk, we walk through that decision with you based on a careful read of your business model, not a generic checklist.

We guide the choice between Free Zone and Mainland according to the source of your revenue, your client profile, and your long-term goals. We manage the entire formation process from defining the jurisdiction and business activities to submitting documentation and obtaining the commercial license.

Our work doesn't stop once the company is set up. We handle what comes next: residence visas tied to the license, corporate bank account opening, and the annual renewals that keep your operation compliant. You operate in the United Arab Emirates with legal certainty from day one, no rework, no regulatory surprises.

FAQ

  • 1. What's the difference between Free Zone and Mainland?
A Free Zone isolates your company from the local market, protecting international operations with strong tax incentives and exemption on foreign-sourced income. Mainland allows you to invoice directly within the UAE. The right choice depends on where your revenue comes from and how you distribute something we define together during the initial assessment.
  • 2. How long does the setup take?
On average, 2 to 4 weeks for Free Zone structures and up to 6 weeks for Mainland, depending on complexity and the licensed activity. We work with a detailed timeline from the start, so you can follow each stage with full predictability.
  • 3. Do I need to be in Dubai during the process?
In most cases, no. Much of the process is handled remotely. Certain stages, such as biometrics and bank account opening, may require a visit, which we coordinate and attend with you to keep things moving.
  • 4. Do you also handle the visa and bank account?
Yes. Our support is end to end: once the license is issued, we coordinate residence visas, medical exams, biometrics, and corporate account opening, with full transparency throughout.
